The reef presents a dramatic natural spectacle as it emerges from the water during low tide, with water cascading off the sides, creating hundreds of miniature waterfalls.
This tidal shift, which can range from 4 to 10 meters, reveals the reef’s flat structure and surrounding lagoons. Wildlife, including sea turtles, blacktip reef sharks, and various bird species, flock to the area during this time, feeding on exposed marine life.
The reef is a crucial habitat within the Camden Sound Marine Park, offering a unique ecological and cultural experience.
