The Capsula Mundi is an innovative project that proposes an ecological and sustainable alternative for human burial.
Its concept seeks to turn the body into a nutritious resource for nature. This capsule, made of biodegradable materials, is buried in a vertical position with the body inside and covered with soil, on which a tree is planted.
As the body decomposes, it releases nutrients that help the tree grow, thus creating a space of natural remembrance.
The goal of the project is to transform cemeteries into sacred forests, where each tree represents a tribute to a deceased loved one.
