IF YOU SEE THIS, DON’T PULL IT OUT (and don’t kill it).

Although it may be a little late, it may still be of some use. You never know. The eggs hatch at the end of August, beginning of September.

It is especially aimed at all those holidaymakers who are always hidden between the rocks during low tide. These are octopus eggs.

Their mother is below, watching, and doesn’t move from there even to go looking for food. She is incubating them in some way and they would not survive without her.

When they hatch, she only then comes out of the cave to meet her children and dies a few seconds later, because she is malnourished and exhausted. She lives only for that moment.

And during her life she only lays one egg. On the other hand, I understand that many of those who “go to octopus” don’t care about this, seeing her below so still they will capture the eggs that they are given.

They don’t think about the preservation of the species or about tomorrow.
