Man ruthlessly punishes 10-year-old nephew by hanging him from a tree and whipping him

A video of an Indian man dishing out extreme violence towards a child has gone viral.

The footage shows the little boy hanging upside down from a tree with his feet bound as a group of young children gather to watch.

According to reports the man delivering the shocking abuse is the child’s uncle.

The film captures the man with a cane in his hand getting ready to strike the child as he dangles helplessly.

Worryingly no-one intervenes to stop the man from the assault which was carried out in broad daylight.

Taken in the Raisen District of the Madhya Pradesh state the film minute long film records the sounds of the boy screaming.

Local television reported that the man was punishing the boy after his school allegedly complained that he’d stolen some money
