The world record for “Most Prolific Mother Ever” belongs to a Russian woman named Valentina Vassilyev.

Between 1725 and 1765, she reportedly gave birth 27 times — to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets, for a total of 69 children.

Not only that, but her husband Feodor allegedly had 18 more children with his second wife after Valentina died.

And though it may sound outrageous, several contemporaneous sources back up this incredible story.
