We remember and pay tribute to SFC Matthew R. Kading, a true hero

Today, I stand before you not to mourn the loss of our fallen hero but to celebrate and honor the life and sacrifice of someone who was not only a brave soldier but also a dear friend.

So, join me as we remember and pay tribute to SFC Matthew R. Kading, a true hero who left an indelible mark on our hearts and our great nation’s history.

On this solemn occasion, let us take a moment to count our blessings and reflect upon the selfless service that individuals like Matt have rendered for the cause of freedom and the protection of our cherished values. Today, we express our deepest gratitude to all our fallen heroes, whose names we may not know but whose sacrifice we all owe a debt of gratitude.

John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” These words resonate powerfully today as we come together to remember a man who exemplified the virtues of courage, honor, and selflessness.

Matt’s commitment to our great nation was unwavering. He stood tall among his comrades, embracing the responsibility to protect the country he loved and considered the greatest in the world. It is not easy to step forward when others hesitate, but Matt showed us what true courage looks like. His bravery and dedication to duty will forever serve as an inspiration to all of us.

To those who have taken the oath to defend our land, remember that the bonds forged in the crucible of service are unbreakable. Matt’s brothers and sisters in arms, I implore you to carry on his legacy and support one another. You share a bond that transcends time and distance, and your commitment to each other remains unyielding. Lean on one another, for you are family, united by a common purpose and an unspoken understanding of sacrifice.

Let us also remember that we, as citizens, must honor the fallen, not only in words but through our actions. We can genuinely pay tribute to their memory by living in a manner that upholds the principles they fought for. As we go about our lives, let us strive to embody the qualities of courage, integrity, and compassion that Matt exemplified so that their sacrifices are never in vain.

Today, we come together to honor a soldier, a hero, and a friend. Let us remember SFC Matthew R. Kading and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. May their spirits guide us in our pursuit of a better tomorrow and may their memory forever be etched in our hearts.

NEVER FORGET!
